Hinton Lodge

Welcome to Hinton Lodge

As soon as you arrive at Hinton Lodge, you will feel you have escaped to a slower pace of life. This beautiful self- catering cottage is in the middle of the countryside, situated next to a very quiet country lane, away from busy roads and traffic yet close to road connections for Bath, Bristol and London.

Hinton Lodge is a gorgeous Victorian Lodge that used to be the Gate House to Hinton House. Now benefitting from its own separate entrance and no longer attached to the House, it provides our guests with a peaceful and secluded retreat. Hinton Lodge simply oozes character with its lovely open porch overlooking a field where Wally and Dunny, the owner’s two lovely horses, graze lazily. It is perfect for families with children who enjoy watching the horses or the many rabbits jumping through the grass.

For a romantic getaway, or your honeymoon, Hinton Lodge provides a peaceful idyll and our four poster bed is apparently most comfortable! In winter you can enjoy a roaring fire in the lounge in the open fireplace, whilst watching a DVD from our library of DVDs.

Hinton Lodge provides you with an ideally central place to reach an array of wonderful places for day trips, such as the beautiful City of Bath (30minutes away), the famous Ancient stone Circles of Stonehenge and Avebury (40 minutes), Salisbury and its Cathedral (45 minutes), Longleat House with its fantastic Safari (25 minutes) providing an outstanding day out for children and adults alike, as well as the Cotswolds (1 hour).
